There is a moment – often overlooked, almost invisible – that exists between stimulus and response. This work lives inside that moment.

This work is a nine-panel exploration of emotional triggers, reactions and consequences: fear, ego, envy, rage, guilt, shame, doubt, scarcity, and lack of peace. Each panel represents a psychological interruption, a familiar internal surge that seeks immediate expression.

But this piece is not about the emotions themselves. It is about what happens just before we act on them.

In that fraction of time, there is a choice.

A pause. A space.

Each panel captures the raw, unfiltered energy of reaction – the chaos, the distortion, the urgency. The eyes that appear throughout the work symbolize awareness: the ever-present witness within us that sees, even when we are consumed.

This is not a resolution, but more so an interruption. A call to awareness.

Because in that space (however brief) exists the possibility of transformation.
