In Terms and Conditions, I turn the language of an agreement toward the inner lives we bring to our relationships. Beneath what we consciously choose may lie quieter clauses: unspoken beliefs, learned roles, and repeating patterns that shape what we give, accept, and expect. Masklike forms emerge from a dense field of marks, suggesting identities and relational scripts that overlap, conceal, and return. Rooted in my inquiry into shadow work and spiritual contracts, the painting asks: Which terms are still shaping ME/us? Which no longer serve? And what becomes possible when we bring them into awareness and choose anew?
